How are messages counted?
We count transcripts up to 160 characters as a single message, because that’s the maximum length of a text message. You have a choice regarding how we handle longer transcripts. You can choose for us to limit the transcript to just the first 160 characters, in which case we bill only for a single message and you receive only one text message. (To do this, select “Send only one text message, even for long messages” in your preferences. Or, you can remote the single message limit, and we transcribe the complete message up to 800 characters, and you receive a longer email and/or up to five text messages.

I forgot my PIN. How can I request reset it?
Click here to Login, then click My Account then click Change My PIN.
How can I reconfigure CellScribe?
It’s easy: Login to your account, go to My Account, and click Configuration Directions.
Why are you offering the Free Trial? Is there a catch?
There is no catch. CellScribe is available for Free during beta testing. We simply ask our subscribers to evaluate our product and send us their feedback. Please note that your cell phone carrier may charge for text messages and/or call-no-answer service, depending on the plan you have.
How long is the Free Trial?
One month.
What happens after the Free Trial?
After the trial period, you will have the option to purchase a Plan. Otherwise, the service will be terminated.
Can I use CellScribe on any phone service?
CellScribe is available for almost all mobile phone carriers, including T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, Boost, AT&T, US Cellular and Cricket. CellScribe is also available on conventional phone and VoIP services.
Will my cell phone service charge me more?
If you can receive email on your phone, you will not need to receive your messages by text. However, if you do choose to receive text messages, your cell phone carrier may charge for those texts. Also, some carriers charge for forward-no-answer.
How does the service work?
If you don’t answer a call on your cell phone (or home or office phone), the call is redirected to our voicemail server. The message is then immediately typed by a professional transcriptionist and sent to you as an email, and/or as a text message. You can also listen to the message, either on our web site or by opening the email attachment. You can search your previous messages’ texts on our web site.
What is the turnaround time from receiving the voicemail and getting the text?
Turnaround time is generally five minutes. During beta testing, there may be occasional delays.
Who is listening to my voicemail? I am concerned about my privacy.
CellScribe is committed to protecting your online privacy. We work hard to keep all information strictly confidential, and we never sell or rent information to third parties. Furthermore, your information will not be used for unsolicited email or for any purpose other than the intent of this form. A professional typist types each message, a professional editor reviews each message for transcription quality, and administrative staff may incidentally see messages during maintenace .
How long will my voicemails and texts be stored in my online CellScribe account?
During the Trial Period and after cancellation, text and data will be available indefinitely and the actual voice recordings for 3 months.
What are the hours for customer service and technical support?
Customer service and technical support are available 9am to 5pm Central Time.
Will this affect my custom ring tone and voicemail greeting?
We have not found any cases where a custom ring tone was affected; please let us know if this issue arises. You will need to record a voicemail greeting on our voicemail system.
Can I forward more than one number to Cellscribe?
Yes, you can forward as many numbers as needed at no extra charge. They do all get forwarded to the same voicemail, so if you need separate voicemail for each line, please contact support.
